I am working on this sidekick 1.6L 16 valve for a friend and i've never worked on one before. Before I get started I would just like to know how deep this is going to get. It looks as if the timing is right in the way of the water pump. Does anyone know what i'm going to need to do this job? It doesn't look very fun. Thank you.

Disconnect negative battery cable. Drain cooling system. Remove radiator hose from thermostat housing. Remove heater outlet pipe bolt. Remove drive belts.
Remove cooling fan, fan shroud, and fan clutch. Remove water pump pulley. Remove water pump, being careful not to lose dowel pin when removing pump.
