This trooper has ran great for many years. General up keep has been done. Latley, the trooper has been hard to start, sounds like it's starving for fuel. Once it starts it runs great. I took it to the garage and had a tune up and fuel filter and PVC valve and new plug wires put on. A new battery was put in about 3 months ago. They ran computer tests and things said all is OK. Well it still is hard to start, so I then had a new fuel pump and a new starter put on. Still hard to start. It cranks and cranks then after a while it starts. I was told to cycle the key 5/6 times before starting, but that doesn't help. I've put a can of starter fluid in the car so my wife can spray the intake. What can or should I do next? I was told maybe a oxygen sensor? Or fuel pressure regulator? I'm into this problem about $1100 on hunches of what's wrong. It's the car my wife drives around and she has my grand child with her, I can't have her out somewhere and the car won't start! Any ideas? Any help would be great!
Thanks!
