1993 Mercedes 190-E 2.6L car with 129,000 miles - The old Cell phone power goes off & on for no reason. I try to turn it off and it comes back on, now my antenna goes up & down as well when the car is on and off. The cell phone problem happened a few years back and I was able to garage the car and the problem pretty much went away. Now the car is outside again and the problem is even worse (can't turn off the phone even if I hit the power off and the Antenna issue is new) than before. I've taken out the fuse until I can resolve the problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Short made to one power circuit by another power circuit can be hard to find. The difficulty is the second power circuit crosses the first, and they are supplying power to each other. An example of this is hearing the horns blowing anytime brake are applied.
Sorry to said this, but you will need a wiring diagram of the offending circuits.
You will need an ohmmeter to do resistance test, that could help you find shorts and grounds.

Suggestion, Have the TRU (transceiver/receiving unit) disconnected and this will resolve your problem. The unit is located in the trunk left side as I recall. Pay a few extra dollars and take the handset out to make the center console more usable

Hope that helps
