2001 Alpha Romeo 156 Brake light staying on

One of my brake light stays on even though no power is going to it?

I have tried changing the bulb and no change.

Any idea to the problem? If so anyone got a solution that I can try before having to take it to a garage?

The brake switch is shorted out
