alarm won't go off and car aon't start

I replaced battery and now, (1) alarm is on and won't go off unless I unplug battery connector and, (2) I can't get engine to turn; it's like I'm "locked out"; no engine crank or any noise. Any suggestions? Thanks

If you have the key fobs, then you should be able to shut that off with that. Otherwise, I called the Mercedes dealership as I don't have information on how to turn that off without the fob
