Can a factory alarm be removed from one vehicle (1999 Mercury Villager) and installed on another 1999 Villager that came without one though has remote entry?

Anything can be done, but I don't recommend even trying this. There are many different components that make the system work and chances are it will not only end up costing a lot to do, but most likely will not work properly.

I was hoping it would be a fairly routine plug-in and attach proposition, the vehicle in that scenario being already designed for accepting one like works for some components. For example, changing to a premium radio or installing heated mirrors where none were before. You are saying no way. Big disappointment. Thanks mucho for letting me know. Searching resulted in no online conversations discussing this issue. Now I know the lone realistic option is going aftermarket.

An aftermarket one would be easier to deal with. Even though these vehicles came with the option doesn't mean the computers are ready for it. Everything changes from one thing to another. I really believe you will go crazy trying to make it work.
