I just bought the vehicle listed above from a used car lot. The key they gave me only fits the ignition not the doors. I found this out by locking up my van when I got home and then coming out the next morning to not be able to get into it. so, I called somebody to come unlock the door and the alarm went off, so we disconnected the positive wire on the battery to make it stop because when you turn the ignition on it starts and then shuts off and I don’t know how to disable the alarm because I don’t have a key to the door. Is there anybody with any ideas on how or what to do about this?

Start by climbing inside, closing the doors, then unlocking them with the power locks.

I suspect someone replaced the ignition lock cylinder in the past with a used one. That's why different keys are needed for the doors. The dealer that originally sold the van when it was new will have the key codes on file and can cut you the right keys. Other dealers can get that information from Chrysler. They can also recode the ignition switch cylinder to use the same key the doors use.
