Filling up airbag suspension

Hello, I wouldn't recommend trying that due to the complex system. Each bag has a solenoid that has to be energized before the compressor can inflate it. Too much air pressure will cause the bag to explode. I have seen that happen when this was attempted. My advice would be to convert this vehicle over to a coil spring set up. There are conversion kits available and that will keep you from having to contend with this issue again. Just the cost alone for compressor replacement and finding the leak that possibly caused the failure, would more than cover the expense.

Even if you used regulated shop air and were able to fill them, more than likely you have a leak in the system so it wouldn't hold that new air. This is assuming the suspension has dropped.

The most common cause of this is a failed pump due to a leak in the system. Basically it keeps pumping the system up and burns up the pump.

The way to check this is to check voltage at the compressor to make sure it has voltage or listen for it to come on. Then isolate the system to see if it can build pressure.

If it never builds pressure and shuts off then you have a leak that caused the pump to fail.
