Shaking when accelerating and or not accelerating properly, airflow Issues?

A while back the car was shaking when accelerating and or not accelerating properly. And sometimes the engine would stutter when first applying the gas pedal. I ordered a Mass airflow sensor online but when I replaced it the problem seemed to be worse. So, I cleaned the old one and put it back in. It ran ok for a while. The check engine light even turned off for a couple of days. The stuttering never stopped though. Now it’s not wanting to accelerate again and blows hot air out of the A/C vents.

Hi,

Does the check engine light ever flash when you feel the vibration? Also, have you scanned the computer for diagnostic trouble codes?

If you haven't, do that first. Most parts stores will do it free of charge, so, if possible, have it done.
