Code is 1 flash then 2 flashes- possible bad ground
Appears moon roof open for some time, filled with water- crash sensor possibly under water.
Can I service this unit-/, clean ground, do I need to disable dual airbags, if so how before service, any clues on servicing please

Have a pro do this airbags are not for a diy to fix sensor, any screw up and thebags blow possibly causeing damage to you as well as the car. That code is 12 meaning it's possible diagnostic module is messed up along with sensors. Check the fuse and go no further than that.
