Air suspension issue

Hello,

Does the vehicle level itself back up?
If it gets leveled and sinks again it could a leaking airbag.
Many times if you have a leaking air bag it will sink and only way to really fix it to replace the component.
Typically when the suspension needs resetting it will impact all corners of the vehicle.

No, starting the car and turning it off does nothing, all sides okay except left front. is it possible the sensor on that side is broken?

There is a height adjusting sensor on each wheel.
You could have a faulty sensor. You can even try to manually adjust the suspension. I have attached the procedure for your reference. But if the sensor if bad then the adjustment might not do anything.

So if the sensor is bad, what does it tell the computer to do? I mean why is that side sunk down? If it's a manual adjustment of the bolt to extend the length then why it wont make a difference if the sensor is bad?

If the parameters of the sensor is somehow out of range, by adjusting the bolt will trigger it and the airbag for that wheel will be inflated or deflated depending on the turn.
Now the if the sensor is completely shot then it will not trigger an action from the compressors to fill up that side. If the sensor is bad it simply provides a open signal to the module.

Correction, both front are sunk.

I scanned the suspension and i have this:

Where is the compressor to the suspension? And do front and rear have different relays?

I adjusted tire pressure and deleted the code and looking at it again i think the front left is the worst of the two. i think the front right is being affected by the front left, but just now i heard the compressor continuously running and the right side is way higher than it should and the left side is okay now. The image is from before, now it looks normal. i heard the compressor on the front right of the bumper by listening from the front area.

The compressor is inside the front bumper on the passenger side, below the headlight.
I have attached some diagrams including all the key components for the air ride system.
I think the front right is over compensating for the left that way its much higher that it should. See if you can maybe adjust it down.
Is you compressor keeps running or does it shut off after the suspension at a certain height?

I don't think it shuts off, that is why think the right is so high..

Well, it can over compensate for the low side, but it should stop after it 'thinks' the car is leveled.
Have you heard that pump keep running before?
Also, were you able to adjust the right side to go low?

I just bought it not long ago so this is new, it never done this. the info is not very clear on how I can adjust it.

You should be able to adjust the height by turning the bolt that is with the height sensor. Look below for the diagram.

Removed the cover on top of the strut to check out the sensor and it's broken. Can this cause it not to raise?

That could be it. As the module won't have reading of that sensor.

Ya, i just lay it down on top of it and it moved it some. The tabs are broken so not sure if the sensor is bad or it just must be tabbed. I will get another and see. Thanks

I turned the car off and there is hissing from there.

Looks like it is leaking from there. Which will trigger the compressor to run and fill up the airbag again, but with the leak it will just keep going as the airbag won't fill up. That is the same spot where the sensor went, right?

Yes same side, and I checked underneath there is no signs of leaks or air hiss, or break in the line going to it. so these struts can fail and develop a leak?

Yes they can leak. I had a very similar issue with one of my vehicle a while back. It would lose air due to a small leak in the strut. In the morning the front would be very close to the ground. After startup the compressor will kick in and rise it and the compressor will kick on and off during driving to keep the suspension at the correct level.
Unfortunately when they leak there are not much options but to replace them.
Of course on many cars you can get those conversion kits that changes the air suspension to regular coil overs.

Yes, I changed the suspension on a couple of cars before, but this one does not have the electric module to turn off the light on the dash, so if I change it I will have few lights on there. I will just change the strut. I don't have an issue changing it it's just ball joints and rubber are the things I dislike the most, and there is always something that I have to change along the way, a ball joint that gets all the grease out, one here, one there, it's always something when removing suspension part. can you share instructions on how to change it?

When you do a suspension conversion, the biggest issue in my opinion is the ride quality.
It just does not ride as smooth as the air ride does.
