Had a carburetor cleaned and repaired. had a loud sucking noise when put foot on the gas the sound is louder when the vehicle is cold. Took it back to carburetor guy and he said it was exhaust gasket or intake. So I had that replaced by Toyota and drove away with the noise. The noise is coming from where the carburetor is. The noise is driving me crazy the engine runs perfect apart from this noise. Does anyone know a Toyota 2y four cylinder engine in a hilux or pick up?

I am assuming air cleaner is on and has proper air filter. check around base of carburetor for a leak use choke cleaner, then check all hoses for being soft etc. finally if you have power brakes check there the hose may be off or a broken valve.
