Air smog pump?

When i directly tested the air smog pump with the 12v battery with a piece of wire, it will run, but if the pump is connected to the wire harness, it will not run. The wire harness is in good condition. Is it likely the pump is bad?

We can check for power and ground at the pump feed wires to see if the pump is getting a good ground and power. Here is a guide to help you with the testing and there is a fuse and relay that runs the air pump which I have included in the images below.
