Air intake control valve location needed

Hi,
I had a problem with my Volvo occasionally idling funny. I was told to get and air intake control valve and replace it. I got the part image attached, but cannot find its location anywhere so as i can change it.

PIERBURG Air Intake Control Valve 7.22240.15.0
Volvo S40 II (MS) 1.8
1798cc. 125hp..
From 01/2004 to 07/2012

Any help deeply appreciated.

it is on the throttle body. while you are at it clean throttle plate on both sides with choke cleaner clean IAC hole as well.

Hey CROSSI46,

That looks like an EVAP control solenoid and wont have anything to do with the way the engine idles. Have you installed a new set of spark plugs and check for a vacuum leak, here are a couple of guides that can help.

HI THANK YOU BOTH FOR YOUR REPLIES.THIS IS WHAT I WAS SENT BY VOLVO FOR A AIR INTAKE CONTROL VALVE FOR MY YEAR AND MODEL.UNFORTUNATLEY I CANNOT NOT FIND IT ANYWHERE NEAR THE THROTTLE BODY EVENEN REMOVED COMPLETE AIR FILTER UNIT AND BATTERY TO GET A BETTER LOOK AROUND THAT SECTION SO A BIT OF A MISTRY

Unfortunately you have a 1.8L which in the US is not available and the info I sent was for a 2.4L, dummy me for not looking.however I did look online and found what is in the pic that may lead in the right direction.
