i want to install myself but the question i have is, what size sockets do i use on the clamps to take off and put back on?

Welcome to 2CarPros.

This is a tough one because bolt size can't be looked up. However, I will tell you many are 8mm. There are others that use a phillips head screw driver. If you upload a picture, I should be able to give you a specific answer.

I attached a picture for you to look at and confirm that it is what you are referring to.
