A/C runs intermittently

When I a gauge air conditioner, it blows warm air and cuts on and off kind of like intermittently.I checked the refrigerant with a gauge and it fluctuated to the red and then back to low.I depressed out some of the refrigerant until it hit green area.But it still blows intermittently warm air.Do you have any suggestions Roy?

Okay, do you have a set of gauges that can read high and low side reading? I need to see those pressures to see if the Freon system is working.
