Air conditioning stops working

On very warm days (nineties), cold air will only blow while accelerating. That is if the air is even blowing at all. On these warm days the air just stops blowing (even while accelerating). Any ideas?

Good evening.

Do you have gauges to check high and low pressures while the AC is running?

Is the front of the radiator and ac condenser clean of all debris?

Is the fan clutch engaged and drawing air from the front?

Hi Roy,

I do not have any gauges but will look into it. The condenser is definitely clear of debris as I checked that yesterday. I do not recall if the fan clutch was engaged now that you mention it. I will look into these and follow up. Thanks.

Hello

Following up on this. I believe the problem was the harmonic balancer. It was wobbling pretty good. Having it replaced now.
