I just had my A/C compressor replaced and now when I am idle, I hear and feel a vibration coming from compressor. When I start to drive it goes away, and when I cut the air conditioning off it goes away. What could be wrong?

Hi,

This could be a few things. First, something could simply be loose. Also, if the prior compressor wasn't working, you may notice it now.

The compressor places a heavy load on the engine. When you turn it on, the engine idle speed should increase a bit to compensate. When you turn it on, see if you notice the engine speed to slightly increase. Pay attention to the tachometer and let me know what the RPM's are when it's on.

Let me know.
