Air conditioning not working properly?

My car's A/C works perfect when it decides to come on. Once it comes on it stays on until I shut off the engine. Then upon restart it does not come on. The coolant has been checked and recharged last year. I have replaced the applicable fuses, no help. I just replaced the blower resistor and that did not help.

My thought is why does it work awesome when it decides to come on? Everything works but only intermittently. I am trying to avoid a costly repair as I don't have a thousand bucks to fix it.

I can help you, when you say the A/C will not come on do you mean the blower motor or the cold air? If it is the blower motor (air from vents) I have seen the motor start to go out and act just like this. When the system is on and not working try tapping on the blower motor and if it starts working then replace the motor. Here is its location so you can check it out under the dash on the passenger side. Check out the images (below). Let us know how it goes.

You hit that one on the head, first try. I tapped on the blower, and it started working again. Pretty easy fix. Thank you so much. Send me your gofund me info.
