Air conditioning blows hot on driver's side

Hot air driver's side and cold on passenger side.

Good afternoon.

Most of the time it is the blend door motor that is the failure.

The dashboard has to be removed to gain access to the actuator. Are you going to attempt this yourself?

Removal prodedure:

1. Remove the instrument panel assembly.
2. Remove the driver air mix actuator.
3. Remove the mode actuator retaining screws (1).
4. Remove the mode actuator assembly.

Installation procedure:

1. Align the mode valve levers with the cam slots.
2. Install the mode actuator assembly.

Note: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the mode actuator retaining screws.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 1.4 N.m (12 lb in).

4. Install the driver air mix actuator.
5. Install the instrument panel assembly.
