Air conditioner went out

Air conditioner went out. When the air conditioner went out there were strange sounds like something is banging. I can't drive it like that.

It sounds like the compressor went out. To be sure can you please shoot a quick video with your phone so we can hear the noise? that would be great. You can upload it here with your response. Here is a guide to help walk you through the compressor replacement in case that is the problem with diagrams below to show you on your car:
