Hello,

This sounds like a Climate Control Head issue. The A/C should only come with the fan yes, but there may be a problem with the logic board or memory in the unit. There could potentially be an issue with the controls, but it is hard to rule out. Do you have a scan tool of any kind? I would scan the CAN system for any codes, we would be looking for body codes or climate control module codes stored in the memory. Please see our guide below on scanning the CAN system.

Hope this helps,

Hi,

To read body codes / HVAC module codes, you may need a better scanner. I found a scanner on Amazon that may do the trick:

https://www.amazon.com/Creader-CRP123-Transmission-Automotive-Diagnostic/dp/B01HNO5PLY/ref=asc_df_B01HNO5PLY/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=692875362841&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=16547413944348374471&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9009598&hvtargid=pla-2281435178618&psc=1&mcid=9c6d5a2ccafa36e7b4a34ee05543312a&hvocijid=16547413944348374471-B01HNO5PLY-&hvexpln=73&gad_source=1

You may also need to search for scanners that can read "U" codes. This scanner I found is just an example. Otherwise, you can stop by any autoparts store and their scanner should be able to read it for you.

Thanks,
William

Why does my radiator warning light come on when its full of antifreeze? When I turn my car off and back on it goes off, it seems to come on intermittently.

Hello,

Sorry for the delay. I am not familiar with a "radiator warning" light, can you send us a photo or description of what you mean? If it's regarding coolant level, make sure you have the right amount of coolant, and if you do, the sensor could have an issue. There also may be a light for coolant temperature, some cars it shows up as blue on startup, and once the car is warmed up enough it will turn off.

Let us know,
William

Hello,

According to the diagram, it looks like the drain is on the passenger side of the radiator and will require a flathead screwdriver type tool to unscrew out. I attached a photo from the repair procedure, nothing should be in the way of you getting the screw out.

Hope this helps,
William

Hi,

There should be a protrusion from the radiator facing towards the wheel. Not towards the engine. From the diagram I have it looks like it may be on the passenger side.

Hello,

Judging from the diagram the drain is on the side of the unit. It will require a tool to be put inside it so you may see a molded piece with an indentation.

Hello,

Yes, I saw that it was the bottom. Try looking on the sides of the radiator. You should be able to use a flathead screwdriver to turn the drain.

I finally found the drain plug! I drained the fluid and then put distilled water into the reservoir after that I added antifreeze. I checked yesterday and I had no antifreeze in the reservoir! What did I do wrong??

Hi,

Sounds like you may have measured it incorrectly. Is the reservoir a pressurized bottle? If so, then this is the only place to add coolant. Also, be sure to mix the coolant before adding it to the vehicle, it will not mix together equally inside the system. I say make more of the mix and add while the car is running, turn the heat on, and wait for the level to drop after the thermostat opens. Then check your level and turn off the car, wait an hour and see where the level is again.
