You could have a leak but it does sound like the system is low. You can refer to the guides below on how to recharge the system and see if you get functionality back. If you do, it may not last long. If the system empties again, then you will need to pull it down into a vacuum using a pump that you can rent from a parts store. This will test to see if the system can hold a vacuum. If it cannot, then you have a leak and you will need to inspect the system to try and find it.
However, I would start with trying to recharge it and see if that takes care of the issue. If it does hopefully it will last a while so you don't need to take immediate action however, I would start planning for it because a leak will only get worse.
