Good Afternoon,

About four or five months ago my A/C stopped working entirely. I tried the quick fix by recharging the system with the freon, but to no avail. I have started the car, let it run for at least 10 - 15 min. And listened for the compressor to kick on or off though I'm not hearing any change. Air will still flow through the vents in my vehicle at all speeds but without cool air. My heater is also still in working condition. What do you believe my next step should be to fix the issue. By the way, I'm living in North Texas and the heat is really starting to kick my butt. Any and all time taken to review and answer this issue is greatly appreciated. Please and thank you, and have a great day!

Respectfully,

Phillip Bryant

You really don't want to be messing with this as you can turn a $100 job into a $1500 job real easily by doing exactly what you are doing. You need to let an AC specialist look at it and find out what the issue is and then we can see if this is something you can deal with yourself or not.

I used UV Added Freon, found the leak, and recharged the system. Working at 100% now.
