Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.
If the vehicle has dual climate control, there are two blend air door actuators that adjust air temperature, one for each side. If one fails, it will not change the temperature. Thus, if you are requesting heat on both sides, one will work, providing heat, the other won't, and the temperature will remain cold.
Now, I need to know this. When you turn the heater or AC on for both sides, which side doesn't do what it should? I need that to determine which actuator may have failed.

Here are the directions specific to your vehicle. The directions are broken down into two parts, left side and right side. I will start with the left side.
______________________________
LEFT TEMPERATURE DOOR MOTOR
Door Motors
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system (VAS 5051B) or newer model.
Perform following work first:
- Switch off all electrical consumers.
- Switch off ignition.
- Remove ignition key.
Left Temperature Door Motor
Removing
- Remove left footwell vent. Refer to => [ Left Footwell Vent ] See: Air Register > Removal and Replacement > Vents and Ducts.
- Remove the left footwell trim.
- Remove Data Bus On Board Diagnostic Interface (J533).
See pic 1
- Remove the bolts - 3 - (9 ± 1.3 Nm).
- The bolts - 1 - are not to be removed.
- Do not remove the bracket - 2 -.
- Push the bracket toward the brake pedal - arrow - and fasten it there using a cable tie.
See pic 2
- Mark connector - C - to control motor (danger of interchange with other connectors of same construction).
See pic 3
- Disconnect connector - C - on Left Temperature Door Motor (V158).
- Remove cover - A -.
- Remove bolts - D - (1.4 Nm) and remove Left Temperature Door Motor (V158) - B -.
- Disengage control motor lever - E - from connecting rod - F -.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order, when doing this note the following:
- Install the wiring harness so that it cannot come in contact with any moving parts (e.g. the actuating arm of the control motor).
- After installing the left temperature regulator door motor (V158), check the recirculating air door function.
- Initiate "Basic Setting" function with Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051B) (or succeeding model). Refer to => [ Climatronic A/C System, Checking and Adjusting Components ] See: Heating and Air Conditioning > Component Tests and General Diagnostics > Climatronic A/C System, Checking and Adjusting Components.

Here are the directions for the right side.
RIGHT TEMPERATURE DOOR MOTOR
Door Motors
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
- Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system (VAS 5051B) or newer model.
Perform following work first:
- Switch off all electrical consumers.
- Switch off ignition.
- Remove ignition key.
Right Temperature Door Motor
Removing
- Remove glove compartment.
- Remove right footwell vent. Refer to => [ Right Footwell Vent ] See: Air Register > Removal and Replacement > Vents and Ducts.
- Remove the comfort system central control module (J393).
- Remove the headlamp range/cornering lamp control module (J745).
- Loose the right support - 1 - from the assembly carrier.
See pic 4
- Disconnect harness connector from Right Temperature Door Motor (V159).
See pic 5
- Remove securing bolts - 1 - and remove Right Temperature Door Motor (V159).
- Unhook brace - 2 - from Right Temperature Door Motor (V159).
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal.
- After installing the right temperature regulator door motor (V159), recirculating air door must be checked for function.
