My air conditioner works in the mornings, as long as I keep it on medium. On high it will work only a little while. If I get on the interstate, the air conditioner will work as long as I am not punching the accelerator. If I do accelerate, the air conditioner may not work.
Afternoons, hot outside 80-100° F, windows are open. No air conditioner. If I stop and go or punch accelerator, the ac will cool then get hot air.
I checked the mixture door and it moves downward.
Any thoughts?

have the pressure checked it may be low or it is freezing up, kind of sounds like it is low but if you add any it may be too much if it is freezing up it has to be evacuated and recharged which is probably due to a leak.
