I have a brand-new cabin air filter in the car. Here over the last month, the AC/heater barely blows through the vents. The blower motor works just fine but I can hear all the air being pushed out through the return vent that’s right next to the blower motor under the glove box. Can you tell me how to find the clog in the system or what else I should look for? It’s freezing here and I need my heat to actually flow through my car. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Yep, it is cold! Let's get heat working for you by changing out the mode actuator. Here is the location and how to change it out in the images below. Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

MODE DOOR MOTOR: Removal and Installation

REMOVAL

1.Remove the instrument lower panel LH. Refer to "Removal and Installation" See: Dashboard / Instrument Panel > Removal and Replacement > Removal and Installation.
2.Disconnect the harness connector from the mode door motor.
3.Remove the mode door motor screws and the mode door motor.

INSTALLATION

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

You will need to remove the lower part of the dash on the driver's side, please check the images below for the instructions on how to do the job.
