All I did to my car was replace the existing OEM black leather seats to a set of brown Oem leather seats and now my SRS light is on and will not go out?

Have you done a code clear? If the ignition was on with the seats out, this will set a fault code and once it is cleared it should be okay.

This video will show us how.

Please run down this guide and report back.

Okay, I just bought a “CReader 6011” and was able to clear all the codes except for 1: B00A0, “occupant classification system”.
I somehow have to do a “OCSM calibration”
Any idea how I can do that on my Mustang?
Thanks

Hello, I am Danny.

Apparently you have to use a diagnostic scan tool capable of doing the OCS Reset (Ford Factory Scanner). Basically after seat repair/removal that function is to zero the weight of the seat assembly after re-installation. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.

Yes, I agree with Danny, a Ford factory scanner will be required.

I have a 95 mustang, 3.8L V6. The air bag light on dash is (what I believe) blinking "32", check engine light is on and cooling fan isn't kicking on unless I turn A/C on. I don't know if any of these have anything to do w eachother, but was hoping someone can steer me in the right direction. Thank you, Jeanine

Hello Jeanine
Great job providing information. Many times we don’t get the info we need.
Some may be connected. As for the check engine light, for free you can go to AutoZone or O’Reilly’s and ask them to check your codes and then make sure you get the exact number and let us know. This is a starting point for the fan.
On your air bag, I have attached what it should be doing during initial self-check. On your code, if you are correct on it being 35, that means low resistance or short in passenger side air bag circuit.
My suggestion here is first let’s clear the code and see if it returns. I have attached how to clear the codes also.

you need to find out all on that circuit and trace the wiring to each component to find the failure

It's should be flashing a code, like 3 flashes pause, 5 flashes pause or whatever it is. You should take it to a dealer to get it fixed. You can also reset it and see if it comes back on. Let me know if you want the procedure.
