Airbag issue

As usual, these cars have recalls with regard to the passenger seat occupancy sensor. Took it to the dealer and they called and said other issues are present. We took it over there, and they gave me lots of codes, saying they couldn't communicate with the SFL, he said its under the center console? He said even if they replace it it could be other things as well. I would like to know what you think. I am not going to pay $460.00 just so they can diagnose it further.

Hello thanks for using 2CarPros. Your frustration is understandable. The code for cylinder #1 misfire and the fuel trim code should be addressed. The fuel trim code is probably a result of the misfire. The engine computer is seeing that misfire and therefore reducing fuel to prevent damage to the catalytic converter. Which may happen if the misfire is not corrected. As for recalls the dealership should repair those for free, as they're manufacturer defects. Hope this helps.
