Transmission tries to shift into reverse on it own

After 50 miles trasmition try to change by herself to reverse.

Hi,

The transmission gear selection is identified by a transmission range sensor. Did you see a change in gear select or did it actually go to reverse?

Pay attention to the gear indicator to see if it is accurate. Also, take a look at the shift linkage under the hood to make sure nothing is loose or disconnected. Note there are
two different transmissions for this vehicle. Let me know if this has a 6 speed automatic.

Selector Lever Cable Adjustment - 6-Speed Automatic Transmission - 6F35

Adjustment

1. Position the selector lever in D (Drive). Turn the ignition off.

2. Remove the air cleaner.
Refer to: Air Cleaner See: Air Filter Element > Removal and Replacement > Air Cleaner (303-12A Intake Air Distribution and Filtering - 2.0L EcoBoost (184kW/250PS)- MI4, Removal and Installation).

3. Disconnect the selector lever cable from the manual lever.

4. Position the manual lever in D (Drive).

1. Rotate the manual lever counterclockwise until it stops.

2. Rotate the manual lever 3 detents into D (Drive).

5. Unlock the adjuster.

1. Slide the spring-loaded tab forward.

2. Lift up the adjuster lock.

6. Connect the selector lever cable to the manual lever.

7. Push the adjuster lock into place.

8. Install the air cleaner.

9. Verify the engine starts only in P (Park) and N (Neutral) and the reverse lamps illuminate only in R (Reverse).
