NEWER CARS ARE VERY COMPLICATED
MOST VEHICLES ARE AFFORDABLE TO MAINTAIN
BUT
WHEN IT COMES TO REPAIRS, THOSE "PRESTIGIOUS" NAMES REALLY GET EXPENSIVE!
I PERSONALLY LIKE A RIG THAT WILL LAST FOREVER AND EZ TO REPAIR AND MAINTAIN. PARTS AVAILABILITY WILL GO ON FOREVER. I'VE HAD SEVERAL CJ-5s (AND ONLY) SINCE I WAS ALLOWED ON THE ASPHALT BACK IN 1981, ALL BEING DAILY DRIVERS. 1991 I BOUGHT THESE LAST TWO (WHEN I SORTA GREW UP!). I STILL GET THAT "KID FEELING" EVERY TIME I GET IN EITHER ONE AND LOOK OVER THE SILHOUETTE OF THE HOOD.
HERE'S A FEW PICS OF "WILLY" MY '46 WILLYS (70 YEARS YOUNG) AND "MR. JEEP" MY '77 (NOW 40 YEARS YOUNG)
I CAN EZily GET MORE OUT OF 'EM NOW, THAN WHAT I PAID FOR 'EM, AS THEIR VALUES INCREASE, EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE CONSTANTLY DRIVEN AND ARE NOT "ZERO MILE, TRAILERED, SHOW CARS".
BOTH OF MINE ARE DRIVEN ALMOST DAILY. BOTH STILL "TURN HEADS!" IF YOU ASK NEARLY ANYBODY, THEY WILL SAY THEY WISHED THEY HAD GOTTEN A JEEP, IT TAKES A SPECIAL KINDA PERSON TO MAKE THAT DREAM A REALITY!
THE TRICK FOR THE LONGEVITY IS A "TRUE LOVE" FOR YOUR VEHICLE AND REPAIR ANY AND EVERY ISSUE (NOT MATTER HOW SMALL) IMMEDIATELY.
AS FAR AS YOUR QUESTION, THE ANSWER IS SOMETHING ONLY YOU CAN DIG OUT OF YOUR OWN HEART.
MINE'S BEATING PRETTY DARN FAST JUST TELLING YOU ABOUT MY JEEPS!
