While it's not a good thing it shouldn't do much other than clean out some sludge. Easiest repair would be to change the oil and filter (use cheap oil and filter) then run the engine for a few minutes and change it again with a good filter and oil. Most injector cleaner is nothing but concentrated solvents or detergent. Very similar to the stuff sold as engine flush. The double oil change should clear it out.

Hi,

First, don't run it this way. The oil will be thinned out and may cause bearing damage.

The only thing you can do is change the oil and filter.

Here is a link that explains how it's done:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-change-engine-oil-and-filter

When you remove the drain plug on the oil pan, allow it to drain for an extended period of time so that it totally drains. Also, change the engine oil filter as well and allow the oil to stop draining from where the oil filter is mounted.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions. Also, I hope you have a good Thanksgiving.

Take care,

Joe

Hi,

By chance did you change the engine oil? If so, has the engine been running correctly?

Your post showed up today with nothing added. I'm not sure if you sent something that didn't actually show up.

Let me know.

Joe
