The front of my car is pretty much on the ground and when I access the Adaptive air suspension in the dash the dynamic standard automatic or the lift mode does nothing when I click on it. i am thinking it is the upper control arm, but I am not positive.

The upper control arm holds the wheel in position and allows the suspension to move up and down as you go over bumps, that is all. It does not have anything to do with ride height. You have very high technology for what other cars use coil springs for. The result is the same except for all the electronic and mechanical issues. This is most likely going to be a dealer-only item.
