1993 Acura Vigor ignition problem

help....my car wont stay on after i crank it,,,it starts but when i let the key go it shuts off...i notice that when i turn the key right before cranking the car the dash lights wont come on but when i crank it they do...also if i hold the key all the way forward the car stays on but once i let go of the key the car shuts off...please help,,,,,,,

The ignition switch is faulty. Get it replaced.
