What would cause my car not to accelerate after stopping at the light? I have a 2001 Acura 3.2 TL.

Car stops accelerating while driving. When you come to a stop, in drive car would not move. Turned engine off. Started again. And car moves. Drive for a period of time and car stopped accelerating. Stopped, car would not move again. Turned engine completely off and start again, put it in drive and car moves.
The car has about 193,000 miles on it. Had a rebuilt transmission put on about 2 years ago.

The list of possibilities would take days to finish.

Are any indicators showing or blinking?

This seems more likely to be a trans electrical control problem and a scan is required to locate for any fault areas.
