Hi, I had my whole upper end on our car done. New gaskets everything. I can hear the lifters against curbs when I drive and it runs a bit more rough than before it was fixed. The radiator blew and that is why I had to have the upper end done. I just purchased the car when the radiator blew because the previous owner patched up the inside part. I would appreciate any help . Thank you

Hi there,

The valve clearances are manually adjusted on this engine, the mechanic who did the job should ensure that the settings are correct, incorrect valve clearances can affect the fine tune of the engine.
