1996 Acura TL radiator cracked in two

Engine Cooling problem
1996 Acura TL Front Wheel Drive Automatic 120000 miles

I have a 1996 acura 2.5 tl. Had the radiator fan motor replaced at dealer. they said the radiator cracked in half during fan installation and had to replace it. Is that possable . do they even remove the radiator at that time? I am trying to believe them. thanks for any info.

Ive removed both fans w/ their shrouds sans removing the whole radiator. AC and radiator. Aside from draining and removing the top radiator hose and overflow hose ;they didnt need to. Just probably easier for them to remove it all and work outside the car. Now as far as it breaking in half, thats a little sketchy. Our radiators aluminum, the only way it "breaks in half" is if the fluid hasnt been mixed properly (50/50) or Honda Certified fluid. It would difficult to prove neglect on either parties behalf. Only way to prove it is by visually inspecting the old radiator and looking at the break points. Worn, eroded, eaten away.
