I have a Acura 2.5TL and it overheated today. It's 95 degrees here today and I have the air conditioning on. It was working fine until it started to blow out not so cool air. I ran a couple more arrands and stopped to get gas and notice smoke coming from under the hood. I then took notice to the temp gauge and it was running hot. I let the engine cool, put coolant in it and waited before I started off again. I was able to make it home, but I noticed that the engine fans did not come on. That could be the problem, for I don't want the car to continue to run hot on me while driving.

My wife had the same problem with her 3.2 TL and had to replace one of the cooling fans.

Hi sunofjustice,

If the cooling fans are not working, you need to check if it is the fan or its electrical circuit is faulty.

Test the fan motor by applying battery voltage to it.
