2002 Acura RSX engine knock

i have an engine knock at idle but under acceleration it goes away, i am a mechanic and this stumps me. i thought that a rod knock would get louder as you accelerate, not go away? please help me, im dumb...

Have you checked the serpentine belt tensioner for the noise?
