Hi, my windshield wipers unfortunately got stuck in the drying mechanism of my local car wash. They were a little tweaked when I left, so I tried to move them, thinking maybe they were jammed. The mechanic came out, and moved them, but now they are stuck in the up position, and will not move. Any idea what might be the problem, and how big of a repair bill might I expect (above 1K, below 1K) Thanks for your help.

Hi,

Does anything happen when you try turning them on? For example, do they try to move? Do you hear the wiper motor run?

The idea of how it happened leads me to think something happened with the linkage which may have caused the fuse to fail. I attached the wiring schematic below, so you have a reference. Start by checking fuse 12 under the dash in the fuse box. When you check it, confirm there is power to and from it.

Here is a link you may find helpful:

Pic three below shows the fuse location in the box. Check this and let me know what you find.

Take care,

Joe
