after hearing a brief engine knocking the car died and needs a complete engine replacement. My question is why would this have happened? There was oil in the car but when drained it had metal pieces. we changed the oil on schedule although not at the acura service station. Is there a history of this with acura cars?

Over revving the engine can do it, were we racing?
Or oil pump could have crapped out, either way it's done! History, I dont think so...
