Hi my 92 Acura Legend LS 3.2 has been blowing out white/blue smoke from the muffler when the car is at normal temp or warmed up. It's an automatic with about 125,999 miles. I don't know how or when the car was last maintained because I recently got the car. Can you please help?

Any time you see blue smoke from the tailpipe it's not good news. It is burning oil...

Thanks so much for the fast respond! Can you please help? I would like to know how I can fix this problem on my own. Don't have the money to take to a shop. I would like to keep the car.

There is NO EASY FIX!!!! You will have to do a compression test, wet and dry, and then repair what you find is worn out, Can be anything from valve guides to piston rings...In any case it will require enging dismantling to some degree!

I think he was referring to a compression test and second test which I prefer called a leak down test. Look that one up on google search. Good info can be found out by doing that test.

You might want to try some of the additives like marvels mystery oil or what ever to see if they help. I doubt you would hurt anything but rather might see some improvement.
