My car started overheating and had white smoke coming out of the tail pipe. I didn't have the money to fix it so I just parked it at my moms. Well, I started it the other day and as it started the temperature gauge immediately rose to hot. When I first got the car, it would immediatly read as hot when I would start it. I replaced the sensor, and that fixed the problem. I'm really not sure what to do about this.

Hi there,

You will have to check the engine for a head problem as white smoke in the exhaust is a sign of coolant entering the combustion system.
