I have a leak from my Rack and Pinion assembly. I want to repair it with a Rack and Pinion seal kit due to the cost of the entire Rack and Pinion assembly which is $500+.

Will this fix the problem if the repairs are done correctly?

Do you have to use Honda brand power steering fluid instead of conventional to not allow this to happen again?

If the leak is coming from a seal in the R/P, then yes. But if the unit is cracked thus letting fluid out, then no.

You should always use Honda P/S fluid in this vehicle.
