1990 Acura Legend check engine light

How do I turn off my check engine light. Car will not start when light is on. The has been off for the past 2 weeks and car has started and now light is on it will not start. It must be a sensor. How do I locate and reset or change sensor. I bought a obd 1 and it is useless. Please help iam low on money.

Hi santibanez,

The most common fault with the CEL not turning off during initial ignition ON is the PGM-FI main relay. Remove the relay and check for cracked solders. Resoldering the relay works.

If it is not the fault of the relay, then it could be a faulty sensor or the ECM itself. We start with the relay.
