I ONLY USE MY CAR FOR WORK N BACK SOMETIMES SCHOOL IVE NOTICED WHEN I DRIVE ABOUT AN HOUR OR SO, WHEN I COME TO A COMPLETE STOP THE CAR IDLES BELOW 1000 AND EITHER TRYS TO TURN OFF OR DOES AT TIMES...THEN WHEN I RESTART THE CAR THE OIL LIGHT FLASHES UNTIL I TURNOFF THE CAR AND TURN BACK ON??? I JUST HAD AN OIL CHANGE NOT TOO LONG AGO WITHIN 3000 MILES AND THE OIL LEVEL READS FINE ON MY DIP STICK? CAN U HELP PLEASE??

The light is flashing because the oil pressure is either to low or the sensor is going out. I would have it checked. Too low of oil pressure will hurt the engine. The idle is supposed to be under 1000 but above 650 and generally about 750. Have the pressure sensor checked and see if there is a connect between that and the problem with the idle.
