One day my driver side windshield wiper went way off my windshield to the side mirror. I tightened the bolt and then it would only go up a little bit. I loosened it and it just goes up a little bit still. The other wiper works normally.

Hi 2217,

Lift up the wiper arm and twist it manually, if it is loose, the linkages could be bad. If it has excessive sideplay, the wiper pivot is bad.

For wiper adjustment, lift up the wiper arm, turn ignition switch ON, turn wiper on and the OFF. Wait for wiper motor to stop working and before turning off the ignition switch.

Check position of wiper arms, and if out of position, loosen lock nut and position arm to correct position. Retighten nut.
