1998 Acura Integra D light blinking

The "D" light on the instrument panel where the speedometer is located started blinking and now the transmission will not shift into to Overdrive. Is this some type of sensor that is out or is it something a little worse?

It could be a sensor or something worse. Need a scan to find out what the error code says.
