I recently had to replace the discharge hose, condenser and condenser fan on my a/c system and since doing so my compressor kicks off after a few minutes and then back on and it keeps doing this. I know it should kick off sometimes but it is doing it very frequently and did not do this before I replaced these parts. The freon level is correct so I don't believe it is due to too much or too little freon.

Hi nccj72,

When the compressor kicks in and out regularly, there are 2 possibilities.
1. Engine ildling speed is too low. If the idling speed is below 700, it would happen.
2. Excessive freon/pressure in the system. Did you check the high and low pressure? It could be a faulty pressure switch
