1997 Acura Integra my car jolts when i drive

when i drive my car jolts every once in a while and while doing so the rpm gauge starts to flicker. when i started it up today it didnt start up very well and started to jolt and flutter.

Check TPS (throttle position sensor) function
Idle Air Control Valve operation
Throttle cable
And if it's manual, make sure the clutch is not grabbing while under load.

yea my car started doing it all the time now. it just constantly lugs while driving and the rpm gauge flickers. the check engine light isnt on and the clutch engages fine. so im hoping its a sensor

From the symptom description, I would suggest checking the ignition coil and Ignition Control Module.
